We’re looking for a drummer and keyboardist to join a band (age of band around 21-23) playing originals. Our band will be practicing two times a week and eventually looking to perform. - I have been writing and recording music for about 7 years. My genre of music I play is alternative pop rock. I want to form a band and start playing some of my songs I've written.
My Influences are Radiohead, Blur, Graham Coxon, The Beatles, The Smiths/Morrissey, Split Enz/Crowded House/Neil Finn, PJ Harvey, U2 and REM.

in reply to your mail, what bands besides the ones you wrote for influences do you like. im thinking are musical styles are far different LOL.
im in a band at the moment and have a gig this Thursday (covers mind you) and i have originals in my head at the moment, so if we fall through i may just give another email unless our musical styles are too different to work with.
ill tell you a little about me. i went to salisbury east high school and finished this yr, i also did musicianship and solo ensemble. i am 17 years old and have been playing drums since yr 8. my musical influences: (this is where you may not like haha) i do indeed like metal as i love the technical sides. although my band is alternative rock such as all time low, (american rock basically) my main influences are Parkway drive (aussie band that hit the jack pot, which id advice you not to listen to iff you have no keen in metal) and august burns red (another metal band)
so throughout my drumming i can happily say i am a decent drummer, i can play swing shuffle beats, bossanova beats, mamba beats, metal beats of course, groove funk beats and etc etc
