Combining original, rhythmic, pumping rock ‘n’ roll with a no-holds‐barred, entertaining high energy performance, JAK draws influences from the great rock artists of the 1970‘s like Zeppelin & Black Sabbath, and the modern vibe by the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots & early Guns ‘n‘ Roses.
"In 2009, Front man and guitarist Andrew 'Handsy' Hands hit the stage with an outfit going by the name of ‘Red Light Runner’ which was subsequently changed to ‘JAK’ after reconnecting with long-time friend and bass guitarist Pat Burger, officially hitting the stage on October 2010. In May of 2011, JAK was joined by skinsman & engineer Craig 'Dockie' Dockray and in March 2012, (Kane “Kanga” Vestey) was welcomed into the fold.” Andrew says:
“I’ve been steadily working towards building a sold foundation for this band, to create a Rock show that people won't easily forget.”
Since hitting the scene in 2010 JAK has already made their TV debut on The Late Nite Show, have received airplay in the USA, UK, Ireland, Scotland, El Salvador, Lebanon, Romania and Serbian radio, for their song “High Rolla”. They’ve also been invited to share the stage with iconic acts such as The Radiators on multiple occasions and also ‘1927‘, Daryl Braithwaite and, to add to their list of achievements, were LOUD competition Grand Finalists.
JAK’s mission is to bring back the the gritty, flamboyant rock show with quality musicianship. “We just want to give our audiences a great rock ‘n’ roll show, that’s what it’s all about.” Says Handsy. “We, as a band, love writing music, we hunger for playing live and live for rock ‘n’ roll.”

There are so many out there who just want the "Rock 'n Roll" life and all its vices and value that more than the talent or discipline needed to do anything worthwhile. If you'd rather hang out with hard working musos with sober habits who play for the love of music and creativity, are reliable and turn up on time, can work with others, have a sense of humour and fun, have your ego well tethered on a leash, respect the input of your colleagues and carry a jar of "humility pills" in your back…

I went to a gig and saw this guitarist, he was playing a Fender Stratocaster and I wondered why he had bought that guitar, it didn't seem to suit him and it didn't suit the Band's style and it struck me like a "blind man walking…
